Starting out in the 1990s, company founder Paul Kittrell Jr. was working at an automotive brake pad supplier when he decided to try his hand at helping national-level motorcycle road racers get the kind of stopping power they needed to out-brake their competition on their way to the front of the pack. It was an arduous task, cutting individual brake pad backing plates and then building the molds to correctly lay the friction compound in place, but soon, Kittrell was building reliable pads that worked well in the most demanding of racing applications. All in his spare time.

Soon, the demand for these brake pads pushed beyond the level of what after-hours work could produce and Kittrell struck out on his own founding Lyndall Brake Pads. Using his knowledge of automotive brake pad compounds, new mixtures were formulated for the two-wheeled world that worked exceptionally well. And soon enough, Lyndall was a respected name in racing. That experience played well into the Harley-Davidson brake pad market where stopping big bikes puts many of the same demands on those tiny brake pads. Any Lyndall's organic brake pad compounds were up to the task.

Leaning on the strength of their brake pad business, Lyndall went into the manufacture of brake rotors. The materials selected for use in their rotors were made to be an ideal match to their line of brake pads. Every rider wants stopping power, and Lyndall brake pads will do that job well on stock rotors. Now, add a set of Lyndall Harley-Davidson brake rotors, which bolt straight in place of the OEM units, and you've got exceptional stopping power that's combined with exceptional feel at the lever.
