do these speakers require a amp upgrade?

An amplifier is not required to fit these speakers to your machine, but if you really want to upgrade sound quality and especially, sound output, an amp is always a welcome addition to your setup. LIke engine displacement, there's no substitute for more power when it comes to sound.
how much % increase in volume over stock speakers on 2024 fltrx?

I really can't quantify that given that neither HD or J&M provide that kind of data. And in the sound world, loudness isn't always ideal, but rather clarity and signal quality are where it's at. So, to that question, these speakers are certainly of better quality than OEM and, in the future, should you decide to upgrade the amp or other stereo components, they'll be more than ready to work with those upgraded components and deliver the best sound possible.
