So long as the carb is jetted correctly, you shouldn't have any problems with the engine overheating. In fact, BBR does a pretty good job of making their kits work reliably for every machine they're designed to fit. This particular kit will work with the OEM carburetor as well, so there's no need to buy any additional parts to fit this to your bike.
