This unit worked as advertised. I did have an issue with the FP4 not wanting to flash to my bike. I has bought it new and didn't really know much about the bike. Emailed Vance & Hines about the issue. They determined from my uploaded data the my bike had a non OEM cam in it. They modified the tune and I was able to get the bike flashed. Customer support from Vance & Hines was awesome. My bike is getting an extra 2 mpg.

08 Dyna install was easy especially for a 65 year old as I'm a dinosaur technically speaking. Bike runs good, lowered idle to 900 rpm after flashing tune which I like. Cobra 909's exhaust w/ s&s intake runs and sounds so much better. Haven't even auto tuned yet. Which should dial in even better!

I've been using the V&H Fuelpak FP3 for years on several Harleys and love it - the FP4, paired to an iPhone, not so much (installed on a 21 FLHTK). Thanks to the patient help of a tech at V&H I was able to get the unit paired to my iPhone and working, but the app is definitely not prime time. Customer service from Partsgiant was above and beyond - I wanted to have the unit installed for a 1100 mile ride I had coming up and got it to me a day ahead of the date promised. Excellent!

Once you've got the FP4 on your bike and connected to your phone, literally a four minute job, just configure the tuner using the free FP4 app to a setup that's as close as possible to what you've got on your bike. Flash that over, then use the FP4's auto tune function, burn a tank of gas through the bike, go back to the FP4 app and flash over the suggested tune and you'll be all set! It's a really simple, easy-to-use tuner.

Answer QuestionThere is absolutely no need to replace anything upon the installation of a FP4 system. These devices will even improve throttle response and performance on bikes of a totally stock configuration. Of course, when you make changes down the road, you'll be able to easily modify your bike's tune so as to get the most out of any new parts.

Answer QuestionYou won't need to add wideband O2 sensors to your bike in order for this to work. It runs just fine off the stock oxygen sensors. In fact, the FP4 will work well for your particular setup, it'll just take a tank or two of fuel to get it dialed in. The best way to go about it would be to configure the device as close as possible to your bike's configuration using the free FP4 app. Once you've done that, start the auto tune function and go riding. Like I said, it'll take a tank or two, but after that, just flash over the recommended fueling modifications and you'll be all set to get the most power out of your bike!

Answer QuestionThe FP4 currently has exhaust choices from Vance & Hines, Python, Harley Davidson, Crusher, and Bagger Nation. You could always choose a Vance & Hines exhaust from their selection that is similar to the Bassani exhaust or use the Auto-Tune feature to get it as close as possible.
