With properly matched fuel delivery, yes, you can expect some improvement for engine performance. The critical word here is "tune" since, whenever you change the way air gets into, or out of, the engine, you should adjust fuel delivery as well to get the most out of the upgrade.
We recommend the Vance & Hines FP4 for most applications since it's easy to install and configure for your bike's exact configuration.
