Xs650 reg/rec for lithium ion battery

Fixed my charging issues. Even bolted directly into my '79 XS650 battery box.

You get what you pay for!

I installed a new Caltric stator and a new Caltric voltage regulator on my 1995 vt600 with a new lead acid battery. I was stranded many times due to the bike not starting, dead battery. The stator was showing continuity to ground on all 3 phases and putting out 14 volts ac at idle. So I installed the 29 year old original stator. 21Volts ac at idle and nothing to ground. The Caltric regular would not produce any dc voltage at all. I bought an Antigravity Lithium battery and a "Ricks" Lithium regulator. With the stock 29 year old stator, Rick's Lithium regulator and the Antigravity Lithium battery. The bike is charging at a steady 13.8 vdc. The bike runs much smoother and starts every time! Thanks Guys!

Ducati Monster 696 replacement part

By   on  Verified Purchaser

I installed this on my Ducati monster 696 2008 with no problem. I appears to work well but I only did a few miles since I installed it. So far, so good! I will post a long term review after I clock more miles.

Questions & Answers

Ask Question

What voltage regulator should I use for AGM battery or acid filled lead battery on my 2007 Royal Star Venture

You would want to go with a standard regulator/rectifier for use with AGM or acid battery. We do have a standard reg/rec available for that 2007 Royal Star Venture from Electrosport. Just search our site for Electrosport Regulator/Rectifier to find it.

Answer Question

Would this be a better bet for agm battery as well or should I stick to a regular rectifier

Lithium-Ion Battery-Compatible Regulator/Rectifiers from Rick's are specifically engineered to work with LiFeO4-type batteries only. Your best bet would be to stick with a standard regulator/rectifier if your machine is equipped with a lead-acid battery of any kind.

Answer Question

can this reg/rec be used to charge traditional lead acid batteries until i finish the Li- ion conversion, and do the stator and rotor need to be upgraded as well?
