Questions & Answers

Ask Question

What exactly does this unit control ? It says fuel injection controller but if your swapping to carb why would you need a fl controller?

2010 HD SOFTAIL CUSTOM

The same ECU handles turn signal functionality, alarm, instrumentation &etc and, most importantly, ignition control. Simply deleting the fuel injectors and/or disconnecting the ECU would make the instrument panel light up like a Christmas tree (if at all) and you wouldn't be going anywhere. You could go the route of installing a stand-alone ignition system, wiring up an aftermarket instrument, re-doing the turn signal system and all other electrical systems as well, but this unit makes all that work unnecessary.
