Couldn't beat the price.

Beautiful exhaust with full heat shield. Only problem I had was they say the kit is complete. It does not come with new flange rings or flanges. You have to reuse the old ones. No instructions either. Not a big deal to me but a novice may struggle. The product itself is awesome!

These pipes are absolutely awesome for my 2005 heritage Softail. Installed them myself, wasn't bad at all.

These pipes are beautiful. They arrived ahead of schedule and the price was great. I will be using parts giant again.

Do I need to change the air filter? What tuner should I use to tune the ECU after installing the exhaust? 2017 Indian Chief Vintage 111 Thunderstroke.
Answer QuestionThere's no need to change the air filter in order to install this exhaust on your Indian Chief. Now, if you wanted to maximize the potential power output benefit, then there's no harm in doing so! To your second question, if you want to get the best possible engine performance and throttle response out of the new exhaust system (and/or air filter), then yes - we always recommend you add a tuner to your build. For the 2017 Indian Chief, you have three options: The Fi2000 PowrPro Black Fuel Controller is the simplest to install and use. Just set it up as recommended by the PowerPro app and you're done. It'll continually adjust fuel delivery to get the best possible performance out of the bike without a trip to the dyno. Similarly, you can choose the Dynojet Power Vision 4 Fuel Controller for an app-based tuner. You'll have to find maps in the dynojet map library that most closely match your machine's particular configuration. After that, it's a matter of telling the on-board fuel controller what map to use via the phone app and you're all set. Then there's the Dynojet Power Vision 3 Fuel Controller which doesn't require a phone-based app, but you will need to plug it into a PC in order to upload any tuning maps on the device, and by consequence - adjust fuel delivery on your machine. Both of the Dynojet products allow you to visit a dyno tuner to have a custom map built for your exact machine, which is always going to be the best option in terms of performance. But of course, you will have to pay for that tune by your preferred Dynojet shop. If you're a set-and-forget kind of rider, go with the Fi2000. If you want the most power using the help of a competent dyno tuner, choose either of the Dynojet fuel controllers that best suits your programming interface preference.
