will this throttle lock work on a bmwr1200cl??

Yes, you can use this device on pretty much any machine that has 7/8" to 1-1/8" diameter handlebars, including the BMW R1200CL. Installation and use is rather straight forward, too. You shouldn't have any problems fitting this device to your machine.
