Don’t expect it to bolt right on

This skid plate is for an 04-05 Yfz450- so I realize these are hard to come by. However- the quality is seriously lacking. I had to modify it in several ways for it just to bolt on. The hardware it comes with is very weak. Once I got it on- I saw that the chain is WAY too close to it. I’m going to have to cut off the portion that goes under the chain and modify that to be further away as well- and the rubber that is riveted in there looks like it won’t last one ride either. Luckily I can weld aluminum and I am a fabricator- probably should have just made one from scratch myself. I was just trying to save some time and get riding. Can’t win them all I guess!
