Questions & Answers

Ask Question

I have a 1992 FLHTCU that has a Burly #28-275 lowering kit on it. Can i get a fork lowering kit or is the slammer drop kit the way to go?

the #28-275 is nice that i can use original air adjustable shocks.

Since you already have the lowering kit on the rear, I would suggest just getting a fork lowering kit. You can search our website for lowering kit and then just add your year/make/model to narrow down the results.

Answer Question

I have a 72 sporster do u have any that would fit

If you're riding a 2012-2015 model year Sportster 72, just choose the correct model year XL1200V Sportster Seventy-Two from our fit guide and you'll be all set.

Answer Question

Would it be safe to just drop the rear and not front? I have a 98 Harley Dyna Super Glide fxd.

As far as safety is concerned, no - it's not too much of an issue to just lower the rear of the bike, but it can do some funky things to the way the bike handles. That is to say, it completely changes front end geometry and, in the case of lowering the rear only, it will make the front feel heavy in steering and cause some degree of understeer or make the front feel like it's pushing when the riding gets spirited. For these reasons, when lowering the rear of the bike as much as these Slammer kits do, we always recommend that you lower the front of the bike as well so as to retain proper steering geometry and the handling the goes with it.

The shocks that come in the kit measure 10-1/2" long from eye-to-eye and the included fork springs are matched to the shocks for the perfect, lowered ride!
