Starter Gear Review.

The quality of the machining on the end of the teeth is substandard. They show unevenness and tooling runout. The very reason I replaced the worn gear. The actual slip fit is pretty good. I actually thought I wasn't going to get it to go on for a minute. Except for once it has started the bike without any grinding. I went through the complete starter, mechanically and electrically. Windings, brushes, commutator, die electric on polished contacts, spring seemed intact And left it like new. The flywheel is perfect and the 500 amp battery, new also.
