After 13 years the O-Rings in my Harley Softail quick fuel disconnect failed. The kit was exactly what I needed for the repair without having to replace both EFI lines as Harley recommended. Not sure why Harley doesn't have this less expensive fix as an option, but this does work. Originally o- rings were completely disintegrated. While it takes a little more effort I would highly recommend removing the tank. Easier to remove all the old o-ring remanence and insure the replacements are properly seated. You might think the top o-ring is ok ... but it will be in the same condition as the lower one, so change them both. By removing the tank you have the opportunity to shine up the chrome heads and easily detail other hard to reach areas. Also, follow the directions for draining the tank. I saved the crossover hose by using suture clamp ( used for other purposes) worked great. The tank holds a considerable amount of fuel even after "You" think it's empty. Have a 5/16" hose and container available to catch the remaining fuel. This is the ugly part for removing the tank, but again will make the o-ring replacement so much easier. You will also be able to see the replacement parts are properly seated VS guessing and trying to see the connection while the take is mounted on the bike. Just my opinion. Also, a light lubricant (WD 40) will aid in being able to seat the o-rings. A very light coating on the o-ring is all that is needed. Happy repairs and Safe Riding!
