If you don't like the as-issued Harley front end. Too soft, dives while braking, poor compression damping, etc. Don't think twice about the purchase. Consult Race-Tech's spring guide for your weight, and riding preferences, make the purchase, follow the instructions, and you will not believe that you did not do this earlier. Also get a seal rebuild kit, replace the wear items while they are out any way. All told, less than $300.00 in parts for what is a transformational change.

Bike handles much better. Front end is stiffer, no dive, no bounce. Pot holes are pretty violent. I ended up lowering the front more than intended (used the damper springs in kit)because I used shorter damper tubes & different lower legs. There's about 2 inches of gap between my fender & fairing (road glide) but it doesn't hit. You have to drill (4) 5/16 holes in your damper tubes if they aren't already there from the factory. Followed directions to the letter. One thing the directions don't tell you is to- recheck fluid height after pumping tube to get air out. Fluid height will change after you do that. If using stock length tubes etc on a bagger (20.5" long tubes if I remember correctly) each leg took 10 oz of oil, which is the same as factory capacity.

Nice kit to make your front end more responsive. My bike came from factory with air on the front. Changed to this and did away with air . Also allows you to adjust the front for you style of riding a big plus.

Answer QuestionYes, you can keep the stock ride height with this kit. It just happens to be that they include the spacers needed to lower the front end if you so desire to.

Answer QuestionThese kits come with springs, spacers and fork cartridge emulators for both forks on any of the machines you select from our fit guide. You'll probably want to add some fork oil and fork seals to your order so you have everything you need for a good, leak-free installation.
