Fit my HD Soft Tail Heritage

Direct fit for 2012 Night Rod V&H Comp 2-into-1 exhaust

By   on  Verified Purchaser

One of my O2 sensor plugs backed out and popped off my V&H exhaust so I needed a replacement. The other plug was dyed white (probably due to heat) so I replaced both after priming and painting (w/ high heat resistant matte black). We'll see how the paint holds up, but I Loctite'd the bolts to help them stay on. A little pricey for simple bolts, but if they would've said "Harley" on them, they'd be twice the price I paid. Not gonna lie, it sounded even nastier with one of the O2 plugs missing; lot of backfires. But for legality's sake...

Answer Question

What thread pitch for a 2005 sportster 1200?

Answer Question

What thread do I need to order for a set of V&H short shots?

Without knowing exactly what machine it is that you have, it's impossible to say what size bungs would work since the manufacturers used various bung sizes depending on the model and year. That said, just measure the diameter of the hole(s) in your exhaust and order accordingly. The first number for the thread specification indicates the bung hole diameter.
