Good price, prompt delivery, easy install. They look good and sound good.

Easy to install. Almost love the sound. It's really close to the sound I'm after. High end they sound like they are exploding in a trash can. Kinda tinny. 2005 Kawasaki VN1600D Vulcan 1600 Nomad

I need to know if this exhaust goes on both sides of the bike, not just tube together to go down one side
Answer QuestionYes, this being a true dual exhaust system means that there will be mufflers exiting on both sides of the rear tire. Exhaust gases will indeed pass through both of them.
By Greg
Answer QuestionIf you want loud, or at least, louder than stock, then this - or pretty much any full exhaust system we sell, is going to be louder than the OEM exhaust. The True Duals are going to be on louder end by virtue of the fact that both pipes are completely separate from each other (unlike the OEM exhaust and many aftermarket pipes with a crossover link pipe), so they lend themselves well to rumbling loudly. You'll probably like these pipes given what you're after.

Answer QuestionYes, that's correct. Snice the Cobra True Duals exhaust system for the Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Nomad completely replaces the stock exhaust, the OEM catalytic convertors would be removed. You get everything to replace the entire system from headers to mufflers.

Answer QuestionYes, this system is indeed correct to fit that 2008 VN1600D Nomad model.

Answer QuestionYes, if you were to choose the 1999 Kawasaki VN1500G Vulcan 1500 Nomad exhaust system from our fit menu, you'd receive the correct exhaust to fit your Vulcan Nomad!

Answer QuestionThis exhaust will only fit VN1500 and VN1600 Nomad models, the frame is different. Cobra does not currently offer a set of True Duals to fit the Drifter models at this time.

Answer QuestionCobra currently only offers these pipes for the VN1500 and VN1600 Nomads at this time.
By Warren
Answer QuestionThese Cobra pipes are not compatible with a 2007 Kawasaki VN1500N Vulcan 1500 Classic. They are only compatible with Nomad models.
By Delbert N
Answer QuestionThese pipes are not compatible with the 2015 Kawasaki VN900D Vulcan 900 Classic LT. Cobra currently does not produce any True Dual system for the Kawasaki VN900D Vulcan 900 Classic LT models at this time.

Answer QuestionThe baffles for this exhaust system are welded in place, they are non-removable. The ends of these mufflers are wide open, the baffle is set back 4-6 inches into the muffler body.
By Anon.
Answer QuestionYes this exhaust system will be much louder than the factory Kawasaki exhaust.
By J
Answer QuestionYes, if you expect your machine to run correctly, we highly recommend that you rejet your bike. The good news is that we have a Cobra carburetor jet kit that's a perfect match for their Vulcan Nomad exhaust from Cobra. The included instructions explain exactly how to install and configure your bike's jetting to get the most out of this, or any other Cobra exhaust we sell.

I have a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1600
Answer QuestionIf your bike is completely stock, yes - you'll most certainly want to adjust fuel delivery upon the installation of this, or any other full exhaust system we sell. Basically, the change in exhaust flow requires that you tune the bike if you expect it to run correctly. Fortunately, Cobra produces an easy-to-install and tune Fi2000r Fuel Controller for the Vulcan Nomad. The device comes with simple-to-understand instructions that'll guide you though installation and configuration, all without a trip to the dyno. With that tuner properly configured, you can expect improved throttle response and better engine performance on your bike.

Answer QuestionAs this particular exhaust replaces the entire exhaust system, it makes no difference as to whether or not the bike has an exhaust catalyst on it. This is due to the fact that there's no provision for fitting it to the True Duals Slashdown exhaust system.
By Earl G.
Answer QuestionYes, this exhaust system from Cobra completely replaces the OEM exhaust system on any of the bikes you choose from our fit guide. That is to say, it comes with primary headers, mid-pipes and mufflers. It also includes all required installation hardware (and instructions) to finish the job. Though, depending on what bike it is that you have, you may need to re-use some of the sock exhaust's mounting hardware (eg. header flange bolts, muffler hanger brackets &etc.), in order to complete the installation. So long as you have the stock exhaust on your bike, you have everything you need.
