Good!

By   on

So happy with these pipes! Put them on my 2014 Vulcan Nomad 1700. Easy install, great price for full header pipe. They look great and sound even better. I have NOT flashed my ECU or have NOT put a tune on it yet. I have noticed a great improvement in performance over the stock pipes. I will be flashing my ECU soon through Moore Mafia. I got a little snap, crackle, pop when letting off the throttle but honestly it's not bad and sounds kinda good! I would totally say buy these pipes! Super stoked! Wish I could upload a pic.

Good product. I made a back pressure plate to give the 02 1800 vtx a better sound with the freedom 2 into one combat exhaust.

2 and 1 exhaust

I think the instruction could been way better. Yes the pipe is very hot even with the shield, only feel it if your standing there with feet on ground. Over all the 2 and 1 sound like beast, with no baffles.

Super sound

Super sound but very hot on leg.

Gave my 2011 Raider the sound and performance I wanted. Looks sharp in chrome. Very happy with overall performance. Was easy to self-install.

High Quality

This exhaust system is for sure high quality. The materials and build quality are very well done. The welds are professional and look like they will hold up for a long time. I also noticed a much stronger pull all through the full RPM range. I did not have the bike on the dyno, but it feels much stronger. The tone is deep and sounds more like a small block V-8 than a motorcycle. It sounds awesome! I also installed a Stage 3 Jet Kit from Factory Pro, so I cannot 100% say that all of the performance gains are from the Combat Exhaust. Note on the install, the heat shields are a pain to put on. I had to "finagle" it quite a bit to get it away from the brake pedal, nothing major. I think that's a common issue on other exhaust systems that have bigger than factory headers. I would recommend this product.

Questions & Answers

Ask Question

Does the amount of HEAT on the right leg make this uncomfortable for long rides

It's really difficult to say whether or not you'd be comfortable with the amount of thermal energy coming off of this exhaust. How you sit on the bike, your riding environment, state of tune for the engine - all of that plays a roll in your comfort. If your bike is already equipped with a full exhaust system, you're probably not going to notice much difference on that right leg. Now, this exhaust compared to a stock unit is going to run cooler as there is no catalyst within the system. The heat generated by emissions equipment makes the change from a stock exhaust to an aftermarket pipe such as this, by most accounts, appreciably noticeable. Again, not knowing how you ride the bike &etc. as noted above, will make some difference in the amount of heat you feel, but compared to stock, it's almost always going to feel cooler than with this, or any other aftermarket full exhaust system.

Answer Question

Will I need to re-jet my 2005 yamaha road star?

Yes, it would be recommended to install a jet kit when installing a full system like this on that 2005 Yamaha Road Star. We do offer a Dynojet Jet Kit for that bike on our site. You can find it by searching our site for Dynojet Carburetor Jet Kit.

Answer Question

What fuel controller do I need with this exhaust and a k&n air filter for my 2012 yamaha raider s xv1900cxc and do you supply them thanks

I heard about power commander V is there other options also thanks

We offer the Power Commander V, Power Commander FC, Dynatek Fusion, and the Dobeck EJK 3.0 controllers. They vary in price but are relatively close in cost. The Dobeck and Power Commander FC are going to be more of a simple install/use while the Dynatek and Power Commander V can be deeply tuned with their software.

Answer Question

do you need to dyno the bike or put a jet pack system after install

2015 C90T

While you can probably get away with installing this Freedom Performance Combat 2-Into-1 Full Exhaust System by itself, to achieve the best possible throttle response and engine performance, it's always best to install some sort of fuel controller. Basically, any time you change the way air flows into or out of the engine, you'll want to adjust the air fuel ratio accordingly to maximize any performance gains available from the new freer flowing system. We have a Dobeck Performance EJK 3.0 Electronic Jet Kit that would work well for this application. Dyno tuning would not be necessary using the Dobeck EJK 3.0.
