So long as your bike's airbox is completely stock, there's no need to buy any additional components. These filters fit directly in place of the OEM air filter.
Is the inner plastic "cage" included with the filter or is that sold separately? I have a 2012 Honda XR650L.

Uni Filter's Offroad Air Filter for the Honda XR650L does indeed have the internal plastic cage fitted. In the case of this particular XR650L air filter, you needn't purchase a separate plastic cage to fit it to your bike.
