Fits. Much better than OEM.

Great for Stock

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Successfully installed on ‘07 ZX6-R. Install was easy and the gold color matches some other accessories. This would be 5 star except it did not work my aftermarket ASV brake lever.

Perfect OEM style replacement.

Works flawlessly. The reservoir port is 90 degrees off from the stock 2007 Gsxr 1000 but it’s really just a cosmetic difference in my opinion. Everything bolted right up and I opted to swap the black lever for my silver one to match the clutch lever, otherwise it’s nearly identical and functions flawlessly. Everything is interchangeable from the stock hardware as they are both made by mission. Can’t beat it for the price, I would buy it again 100%

Great part to upgrade an axial M/C

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Great master cylinder upgrade from axial. I get much better "feel" from this. This is on 1018 vstrom 1000. Stock was powerful, but hard to modulate, at least compared to this one. Install is pretty easy, but with 2" ROX risers I had to add a jumper to my brake light switch. Otherwise it's easy to bleed, mirror threads worked on this bike. Previously installed on 2014 vstrom 650. On that bike same improvement plus way less lever pressure required for threshold braking.

Questions & Answers

Ask Question

Will this fit my 2008 GSXR 1000?

Yes, it will certainly fit the handlebars on a 2008 GSX-R1000. The only caveat is that you must use a 10mm x 1.25 banjo bolt to fit the brake lines. If you don't have that, we recommend pairing this master cylinder with a Shindy Aluminum Banjo Bolt of that size. With those two items, you'll be able to replace the OEM GSX-R front brake master cylinder with ease.

Answer Question

Would this fit older bikes? mid 80s? Working on a project.

You can fit these master cylinders on any machine that has a 7/8" diameter handlebar and uses a 10mm x 1.25 banjo bolt. So long as that's what you're working with, the master cylinder will work with just about any bike on earth.

Answer Question

Does it fit 2006 R6R perfectly? or need some adjusment?

Fitting this to a 2006 YZF-R6 of any variant is no problem. The master cylinder fits the stock diameter handlebar with ease. All you have to do is connect the front brake line, bleed the brakes and you're all set. There's not much in the way of adjusting things save for positioning the lever at the angle you like. It's a really straight forward installation.

Answer Question

Does it fit a Honda CB 900 Hornet

This is a universal fit master cylinder assembly. Provided you match the bore diameter to that of your existing master cylinder, retrofitting this master cylinder should be very simple. If your model is not already using a radial mounted master cylinder, the brake line may likely have to be changed or moved to meet the outlet of this master cylinder.
