First, I bought this seat for my 2019 GPX FSE250R.(It fits most 16-18 Husky FE250 parts). This X-seat fits in the GPX frame perfectly, but the support bolt is ~1/8" off. I had to improvise, putting a spacer(for support) under the rear flange of the seat, drilling through and bolting to the fender, its a solid fix.
The X-seat has excellent grip without being irradiating on a long ride, the GPX seat is a gripper but its like sliding naked on sandpaper after awhile.... No problem with the X-seat. :) The tailbone relief down the center of the seat makes a big difference, its much more comfortable than the stocker for sitting portions of the ride, Acerbis put some thought into make a great enduro seat.

Acerbis X-Seats for the Yamaha YZ250FX are not any wider than the OEM seat. They're a little taller towards the front, so as to provide extra holding grip when you're on the gas running it through the corner.
If you're an aggressive rider, this is an excellent seat!
Is the seat softer then a 2019 crf 450r OEM factory seat?

No, these aren't exactly softer than the OEM seat. What they do offer is increased grip over the stock seat, especially in the corners. The grove towards the front is designed to fit into your butt crack so as to help you stay correctly positioned when you're on the gas.
If you're a rider that likes to sit down a lot on the trails, we wouldn't recommend this seat for you.
Yes, if you were to choose the 2016 KTM 250 XC Acerbis X-Seat from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct seat to fit your machine. You can choose form either, a black seat or an orange seat for that bike.

As far as softness goes, well - this seat isn't really a YZ250FX soft seat. It's probably just as hard as the OEM seat on your machine. It is soft by Acerbis' standards, but only because they offer a standard seat for many bikes as well - and that seat is pretty darn solid. If you spend a lot of time sitting down in the woods, this seat isn't for you. If you're a serious woods racer and spend most of your time off the seat, then this certainly isn't a bad choice. But again, if you spend a lot of time sat down on the trail, you best look elsewhere as this seat for the YZ250FX isn't going to do much better than the stock unit.

Acerbis X-Seats are roughly the same height as, or slightly higher than the OEM seat. If anything, they're maybe 1/4" to 1/2" taller than stock, depending on what machine it is that you're fitting it to.
