Yes, there is protector available for that Vapor computer. If you search our website for Trail Tech Vapor/Striker Protector Mount, it will pop right up for you.
If you're comfortable with things like doing an oil change, servicing the clutch or installing handgaurds on your bike, adding this kit to your machine isn't really that difficult. No special tools are required and most guys get it done within two or three hours at most. Just take your time and follow the well-written instructions that come with each kit. Everything you need comes in the box, as far as parts are concerned. Just be sure to carefully route the wiring for all sensors in an effort to keep them away from the exhaust and other moving parts and you can expect years of reliable use out of the device.
Can the temp sensor work with an air cooled engine

Trail Tech's computers are designed to work with any of the machines you see in our fit guide. In the case of air-cooled models, the temp sensor fits under the spark plug. It's a simple, but clever way of getting an accurate reading.
