A-OK

Good Filter

By   on

Spun right on, and it even came with a pre-lubed gasket. Seems like a really good filter with quality construction that you can feel when you hold it in your hand. I'll buy another one next season for sure.

Questions & Answers

Ask Question

Does the filter come with a crush washer?

I have a 1995 BMW R1100R and wanted to make sure it comes with a crush washer (if it needs it).

There is no crush washer included with this oil filter as that's not necessary to fix this to your bike. Simply remove the oil filter that's on the bike and install this one in its place.

Answer Question

How many miles should I get between filter changes?

While K&N oil filters are designed fir a high-flow rate and excellent particle filtration, they still are to be changed at the recommended service intervals as noted in your machine's owner's manual. That is to say, they do not offer an increased service interval between oil changes. You are to change the filter at the same mileage as the stock filter unless of course, you're using it for race applications in which, like the OEM oil filter, it is wise to change it after every race weekend.
