Fabricated using DuPont aramid fiber base material, these brake pads are best suited for cruisers and touring bikes with stainless steel or chrome brake rotors. GG rated friction compound is bonded to the backing plate with the Nucap NRS hook retention system which guarantees zero chance of the brake pad de-bonding.

I like the brake pads especially at this price. Fit is great. I matched them up with Pro-Lite Contour Rotors as others have suggested and the result is better than factory.

I've heard organic ones don't last as much but can I get a ballpark of how many miles do I get with these organic ones ? Or Which other pads do you suggest for 2012 m696 ? Thanks
Answer QuestionThe nice thing about organic brake pads is that they offer quite a bit of feel compared to sintered metal brake pads. Of course, there is a trade off for all of that feel. Organic pads don't last as long as sintered brake pads, nor do they offer the same outright stopping power. No less, for street use - they're certainly more than up to the task. Also, they don't squeal, they're really quiet, though - that's not such a problem with newer sintered metal pads, either. Plus, if you're big on keeping your rotors looking nice, they don't mar rotors like sintered pads can. Organic brake pads aren't as harsh against brake rotors, so those lines in the rotors where the pads meet won't get any worse than they already are. For the most part, unless you're a really, and we mean really aggressive street rider, the organic pads will last a while. How long is impossible to say, but you can expect to get a few thousand miles out of them on your particular bike.

Answer QuestionThe pad compound you choose really depends on what type of riding it is that you do and what you want to get out of your machine. In your particular case of just cruising around - you’ll want a Harley-Davidson brake pad that’s quiet with a lot of feel and no hard initial bite. To this, we have two good choices, each with their own particular traits. If you’re not too particularly concerned about galling your brake rotors a little bit, we recommend a set of EBC’s V Semi-Sintered brake pads. They provide a good deal of power at a slight expense of feel when compared to straight organic pads, but they will last a long time. If you’re after all-out feel and want to keep the brake rotors as clean as possible, then a set of EBC Organic Brake Pads will do the trick. The only real downside to them is that, especially on heavier bikes like the Street Glide, they don’t last very long when compared to sintered metal brake pads, or even semi-sintered brake pads. In either case, they pads are significantly better than the OEM Street Glide brake pads. They both offer a tremendous amount of feel and have a smooth initial bite when compared to the original Harley brake pads.

Answer QuestionAs is noted in the item's description, EBC brake pads are sold per caliper. You would need to select a quantity of two for the front brake pads in order to service both sides on the front of your machine. And of course, only one set for the rear brake caliper.
