Excellent clutch pads

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Clutch works great. Literally night and day. Synthetic oil is not recommended, but I'm running full synthetic and the clutch works fine. Instant grab, with zero slippage at both low and high end. Definitely recommend.

Made in the UK!

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Suzuki does not make clutch plates for the 1981 Suzuki PE175. I ordered a set from Parts Giant. My skepticism was immediately erased as the clutch plates were manufactured in the UK (British) NOT China! Exact, Exact to the original Suzuki ones. The instructions on the EBC box warns NOT to use Synthetic Oils in the transmission! Suzuki used a 20-40 wt oil which is no longer available...SO digging further, I found that BelRay makes a specific transmission oil (80) weight that works even better than the 20-40.

Fits and works perfectly

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Fit perfectly and my bike runs better than it did with the cheap Chinese friction plates I bought before these.

Easy to install

By   on  Verified Purchaser

Easy to install and seems to work just fine.

Works fine; installation recommendations would be a +.

By   on  Verified Purchaser

It works well, but I recommend new springs when you install. Info on oil-soaking the discs first is all over the map, but I did apply oil to them before assembly and as I said, it works. It would be good if PG or EBC gave such info with the parts.

What i look for

Its working wonderfully. At first sight you don't give it much credit, but it amazed me. You wont get a better deal for a clutch friction plate set for sure. Highly recommended.

Answer Question

I have 1997 suzuki gsxr 600 i would like to know if it fits on my bike

Yes, if you were to choose the 1997 GSX-R600 from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct friction plates to fit your bike!

Answer Question

would the kit include only the friction plates or both friction plates and steel plates

EBC CK clutch friction plate kits only include the fiber friction plates and no steel plates. If you need the steel plates as well, those can be had as part of one of these complete clutch kits from EBC: Choose the EBC DRC Complete Clutch Kit as it's specifically engineered for off-road motorcycles and ATVs Choose the EBC SRK Fiber Complete Clutch Kit if you're riding a street bike. Both of those clutch kits will include the fiber frictions plates as well as the steel separator plates and brand-new clutch springs for a completely fresh clutch kit. Best of all, the kits come with the factory-recommended clutch stack height pre-measured so there's no need to fuss with getting your bike back to OEM spec. Just soak them in the type of oil as is recommended in your machine's service manual, install as directed and you're ready to ride!

Answer Question

what do i need to do to the friction plates before i install them?

We recommend that you soak the friction plates in the same type of oil that'll be used for the engine into which the clutch plates are to be installed. Some guys like to soak them overnight, others will just start the clutch replacement job by getting the plates into oil before taking the machine apart figuring that, by the time you get to the clutch, the plates will have had plenty of time to soak in oil. If you don't have a clean plan, a plastic sandwich bag will do the job just as well. Just put the plates in, add enough oil to cover them up and let them soak for

Answer Question

does this include disk b clutch friction plate it is the last one in the stack it has bigger ears on it

EBC aftermarket clutch friction plate sets are designed to replace the OEM friction plates on the model you select from our fit guide. IF your clutch pack contains, for example, seven identical friction plates and a topper friction plate with larger ears, then that's exactly what you'd receive in this friction plate kit.

Answer Question

i use synthetic oil in my m109r and i am installing EBC clutch so which oil must i use now ?

So long as you're using a motorcycle-specific type of synthetic oil, you should have no problem using it with EBC clutch components. Proper specifications include JASO-A and JASO-M types of oil, or any oil cited in your bike's manual. The big thing to avoid would be anything that is to be used in automobiles. The reason being, automobile oils are loaded with friction modifiers that are a wet clutch system's (such as that in an ATV or motorcycle) kryptonite.
