Sound Great! Loud without killing your ears.
Fits:
$376.34 – $718.61
RPT slip-ons make use of all of the high-tech features of Cobra's regular 3" slip-on mufflers, including 2" constant velocity cores for exceptional sound and performance, as well as the bonded e-glass and stainless steel mesh. The RPT designation comes from adapting the design from their Race-Pro 4" muffler into this 3" size. The bodies begin as 3" at the front until they expand to 3.5" at the rear. The billet aluminum tip is also the Race-Pro machined design that's held in place with 12-point bolts.

Sound Great! Loud without killing your ears.
By Pd on Verified Purchaser
Sounds great on my 2014 Sportster 1200 custom.
By Dan D. on Verified Purchaser
Sounds great! Not too loud, nice tone.
By Mark K. on Verified Purchaser
Very happy with these pipes. They look better than stock and obviously sound better. The RPT has a nice deep sound and is not obnoxious if you ride it normally. They do bark if you get on the gas.
By Phil W. on Verified Purchaser
Love the sound smooth rumble while at cruise speed louder when accelerating.
By Bennie D. on Verified Purchaser
Sounds awesome on bike, just what we were looking for.
By Peter T. on Verified Purchaser
Very happy with the Cobra RPT slipons. Bike sounds like a Harley and not a sewing machine now!
By Jim H. on
Made my 2007 FXSTC sound like a different bike, had screaming eagle slip on's they weren't much louder than a stock exhaust. I got the black put a couple hundred miles on them so far and I really like them, not ear splitting loud just right!
By Ralph C. on Verified Purchaser
Extremely happy with my purchase. Very easy to install and looks `factory` when done. Be sure to order the bushings with the pipes as they are made of graphite and the originals will probably crumble before they come out.. Love the sound!..(note: Cobra supplies 4-3/8' bolts to replace the factory 4-hex bolts that are a PIA to deal with..nice touch.)
By Todd B. on Verified Purchaser
I really like the look and sound of these slipons. Service was fast and easy.
By Jorge V. on Verified Purchaser
It was pretty easy to put on, I only wish I had known I really needed the gaskets, I had to run to the Harley store to get them. Once I got that it took me less than 15 minutes to finish putting them on. Took me longer to clean up :) But they are nice.
By Prince R. on Verified Purchaser
I was highly impressed with my Cobra RPT 3" slip-ons. The package came quickly and was as advertised. I love the appearance as well as the quality. I didn't have any real difficulty with the installation. The sound of them is a nice tone that definitely says Harley-Davidson, and my wife can now hear me coming in the neighborhood. At highway speeds, they are not too loud as to overpower my sound system, but really makes it more fun to ride hearing the rumble now.

Cobra RPT Slip on for my new 2022 Heritage 114ci. Order arrived fast in perfect condition and went on like a dream. I had to have the ECM mapped because the stock intake is a heavy breather. But I am very happy with the uptake in throttle response and low end torque. The sound for me is perfect and balanced out the sewing machine sound that stock harley exhaust have. A good product at a good price.
By Stefan B. on Verified Purchaser
Happy with the great exhaust. The sound alone is worth the money, and it still looks very good.
By P. on
I had the RPT's put on my bike. The look and sound was unbelievable. Now my bike sounds like a real Harley. I would recommend this pipes to anyone that wants a great look and a great sound.
By Charles B. on Verified Purchaser
Excellent fit and finish-sound isn't quite what I was looking for, but that is subjective-well packaged.
By Tim T. on Verified Purchaser
These are well made mufflers. The fit my 2019 883 iron like a glove. Took 10 minutes to remove the Pythons and 10 minutes to install the Cobras.
By James E. on Verified Purchaser
Love the sound and look. Easy to install, and nice quality! Nice deep rumble!
By Robert P. on Verified Purchaser
Cobra slip-ons sound great. Good mellow tone at idle and pretty beefy when the throttle is opened. I can’t wait to get it in the mountains where I can pull on it!
By Benjamin S. on Verified Purchaser
Absolutely love these exhaust tips! Easy install on my first bike. Sounds amazing. Thought about taking off the baffles but I don't even need to. They sounds fantastic.
By Eric S. on Verified Purchaser
I ordered the Cobra Chrome RPT slip on mufflers. Very happy with the sound of my new mufflers. They produce enough sound but not annoy like my last pipes.
By Shawn G. on Verified Purchaser
Cannot express how much I am impressed with these pipes. Replaced my stock 2016 Heritage softail exhaust. Immediately when I fired it up the deep rumble was there that is the classic sound of a true Harley! Even at cruising speeds the deep base is there. Future Harley bikes will have these pipes!

I am super excited and very pleased with my purchase. The product was shipped in perfect condition and arrived sooner than I expected it. The installation was an ease. Overall I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase.
By Dennis N. on Verified Purchaser
I received these Cobra slip ons and installation was a breeze. These are quieter that I thought but still great sound. Get the muffler inlet gaskets, don't mess around.
By Maria L. on Verified Purchaser
I finally put on these pipes! They sound amazing and look great. This was money well spent!
By Robert M. on Verified Purchaser
Not as loud as I thought they would be but still have a great sound. I would buy them again.
By Tristan L. on Verified Purchaser
More than worth the $300 it cost to install these on my 2012 1200 Nightster. Sound is louder than stock but not too ridiculous (in my opinion) but what’s more important is the deeper/richer sound these produce. Much more satisfying to the ear. Installation was a challenge though. Not the fault of Cobra, it was very hard to get the stock exhaust off because it’s an older bike and the metal expanded through the years. Would definitely recommend having a mechanic install in case you run into this problem. It took me and a strong friend using all our might to get the stock mufflers off but once we did the new ones slipped right on easily. Props to Cobra, buy these slip-ons.
By William C. on Verified Purchaser
Great pipes great company, thanks.
By Orlando M. on Verified Purchaser
I been researching some mufflers and came across these Cobras. I wanted something with a good growl but not something that was annoyingly loud. They fit great and installation was a breeze! The Iron sounds great!
By Stephen F. on Verified Purchaser
My order arrived quickly. Was undamaged. Very easily installed. Sound great and look great. Would buy these again. Highly recommend.

I have a 2019 softail and the grips fit great. Installed easy and looks good. Feels great!
By DaleMc on Verified Purchaser
Great looking mufflers and the sounds is pretty good. They are a good match for my Cobra Duals
By Jerry R. on
These slip-on mufflers are just what my 2017 Softail Slim needed to wake up the sound and increase performance. Previously I had Screamin Eagle Street Canons along with Screamin Eagle Stage 1 air kit and FP3 tuner on my bike. I was not at all happy with the exhaust note or the low end performance. These new Cobras have a deep bass rumble at idle and when at cruising speed, but once I twist the throttle they begin to growl... I love it! I have also notice better throttle response in the lower gears than I had with the Street Canons. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase from PartsGiant.
By 3 Harleys on Verified Purchaser
If you want a really throaty sound when you snap the throttle this is the ticket. When you are at speed they sound mellow. But make no mistake you loose that stock sewing machine sound with that awful factory exhaust. Slip on is a great description for these mufflers. It's like wax on wax off (LOL).
By Barry on Verified Purchaser
Better than expected. Sounds great. Mellow when cruising but throaty during acceleration. Got the chrome ones and was able to use the black heat shields that came with my stock 2015 breakout mufflers, liked the look of stock just not the sound.
By Alot of Harleys on Verified Purchaser
Once you put these on you are not riding your Grandmas FLSTC anymore. Easy installation. Got to say, start to finish and on the road, less then 20 minutes. A few suggestions: 1. Use some WD-40 too loosen up your stock muffler bolts. 2. Use the stock clamp rings to secure them. The ones that come with them are good but the stock ones are easier to use. 3. Loosen the heat shields to install. All in all a breeze to put on.

Answer QuestionThese mufflers will certainly be louder than the stock items fitted to the Freewheeler at the factory. Whether or not they're loud enough for your taste, of course, is difficult to say, but I can tell you that they do deliver a nice boost in sound output that'll get your trike more attention than stock.
By bill
Answer QuestionIf you were to select the 2019 Harley Davidson FLRT Freewheeler, you'd receive the correct mufflers to fit your machine.
By Jon
How do these compare with the neighbor hater design? Is the sound different ? Do the 4” ones sound different than the 3”?
Answer QuestionThe RPT mufflers are more of a performance-oriented design thanks to the internal design. Sound wise, yes - it's loud, but not as loud as the Neighbor Haters. Those mufflers are simply designed to be as loud as possible. The 3" 'Haters are going to have a raspier tone when compared to the 4" variant. But again, loud is the design goal with those - not so much outright performance like that of the RPTs.
By Carol
Answer QuestionYes, if you were to choose the 2016 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic RPT exhaust from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct RPT exhaust to fit your machine.
By snowbear
Are you paying for 2 or 1 at the listed price?
Answer QuestionCobra's RPT slip-on mufflers are sold in pairs. You only need to purchase a quantity of one to completely outfit your machine with a new set of Cobra mufflers.
By Roy P.
Answer QuestionIn many cases, you may be able to install the 2002 Softail Custom exhaust without having to modify fuel delivery for your machine, though you may notice that throttle response isn't as good as it used to be. The bike might stumble at a constant throttle position or when make small changes with your right hand. The only way to be absolutely sure this doesn't become an issue, and so you get the biggest possible power gain out of the new FLSTCI exhaust, we (and Cobra) recommend a FLSTCI Cobra Fi2000R fuel controller. The unit is easy to adjust for your bike's particular configuration and the included instructions do an excellent job of explaining how to make those adjustments based upon how your bike responds to throttle inputs.
By Jeff
Answer QuestionYes, Cobra does indeed make a RPT Slip-on exhaust that'll fit the 2013 Superglide Custom. Just choose the 2013 Harley Davidson FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom from our fit guide and we'll get the correct exhaust to fit your bike on its way to you, fast!
By Rob
Answer QuestionYes, we do indeed have Cobra RPT slip-on mufflers available to fit the 2016 FLST Harley Fat Boy. Simply choose your machine from our fit guide and you'll be able to order those Fat Boy mufflers with either, chrome or black sleeves.
By Road king rick
Answer QuestionYes, Cobra RPT slip-on mufflers will bolt straight onto Cobra's True Dual Headers. In fact, those headers are specifically designed to work with any muffler that bolts up to the original Harley-Davidson headers. In this way, you can fit a tremendous variety of mufflers to those Cobra headers.
By Patty g.
Answer QuestionSound is a rather subjective matter, so I can't say for sure if you'd like how this or any other exhaust we sell, rumbles. What I can say is that it'll certainly be louder than stock, and the RPT slip-on mufflers do have a relatively deep rumble to them. This is due specifically to the baffles' design which encourages a consistent exhaust gas velocity. In doing so, and especially at lower RPMs - the sound is rather distinct when compared to exhausts that use a conventional baffle design.
By Chris
Answer QuestionYes, the FLHX Vance & Hines Fuelpak can indeed be configured to work with a Street Glide Cobra RPT slip-on exhaust. In fact, the standard Fuelpak can be configured to work with just about any aftermarket Harley exhaust system and air cleaner combination with ease!
By Jerry
Answer QuestionYes, we do have these slip-ons available to fit that bike, even if we don't have the particular model listed in our fit guide. If you were to choose the 2003 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic from our fit menu, you'll get a set of slip-on mufflers that'll also fit the Electra Glide Police Edition as both of these machines share the same OEM exhaust system.
By Anon.
Answer QuestionActually, you'd probably find that the Cobra RPT exhaust for the FLSTC would be an excellent match for your current carburetor jetting. Yes, performance would be affected, but as you already have a larger jet installed in the carburetor, you might not have to do any modifications to fueling.
By Jmichaud228
I have a 2001 fatboy cardurated.
Answer QuestionWithout knowing the overall state of tune for your bike, it's difficult to say what kind of performance increase you could expect from this, or any other exhaust available. One thing is for certain though, unless you tune the carburetor to match, you won't see much of an improvement at all. This is due to the fact that, any time you change the way air gets out of (or into, for that matter) the engine, you'll want to adjust fueling to suit in order to get the best performance possible. Without tuning the bike to match this new exhaust, you end up with a lean-running bike at cruising speeds which translates into poor throttle response, higher engine temperatures and less-than-maximum engine performance where you spend most of your time, throttle-wise. The good news is that we have a Dynojet Carburetor Jet Kit that includes everything you need to get the most out of this exhaust in one box. Dynojet claims that, on Twin Cam 88 motors using a stock or high-flow intake and a good aftermarket exhaust system, you can expect to see gains of almost 20 hp.
By mike
Answer QuestionYes, the Cobra RPT's baffle is indeed removable, but as it's an integral part of the end cap. If you were to pull them out, you'd have an interesting looking Cobra exhaust outlet. If you find that you like these mufflers, but they aren't loud enough, we recommend that you try adding a set of Cobra True Duals Header Pipes (for earlier Harley models) or Cobra Power Port True Dual Header Pipes to complete the set up. In this way, you'll get the maximum amount of power possible and even more sound.
By Anon.
Answer QuestionYes, all Cobra RPT slip-on exhausts come with all required mounting hardware and simple-to-understand installation instructions. Depending on the machine that you're installing it on to, you may have to re-use some of the OEM bolts and brackets - but there's no custom fabrication work involved. Simply remove the original muffler(s) and install the Cobra RPT exhaust in its place and you're ready to ride! Most installations can be handled in less than an hour if you're taking your time!
By L9vey
In a word - yes, but really, it depends on what you definition of a good sound happens to be. The bonded e-glass cores in the mufflers do have a smoother sound to them than some other exhausts from Cobra that only use metal baffles. The cores take the hard edge off, so the sound isn't as harsh as older exhaust designs.
Answer QuestionSounds great. Put them on my 2013 FLSTC as part of my Stage 1 upgrade
By Darrell
While you can probably get away with installing this unit by itself, to get the best possible throttle response and engine performance, it's always best to get some sort of fueling modification device. Basically, any time you change the way air gets into or out of, the motor, you'll want to adjust fueling appropriately to maximize any performance gains available from the new setup. For Cobra exhausts, we recommend the Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner Fuel Controller. You can find that in our store to fit just about every bike for which Cobra makes an exhaust.
Answer QuestionThe best way to get max performance is to use this exhaust with a stage 1 air cleaner and stage 1 download.
