The mounts that come with this system ... are the part where they attached to the handlebar tapered? Do they attach to the 1 1/8" section?
The clamps that attach to the handlebars are not tapered. You'll notice in the image that each of the mounts have slots to provide about an inch worth of adjustment. In this way, you should be able to get the clamps onto the straight 1-1/8" (or 7/8") section of your machine's handlebars without too much trouble in most cases.
