can you see the flashing light from mirror side and does it fit a 1998 hd softail?

Answer QuestionThe lighting elements do protrude from the front of the mirrors a one or two millimeters, so there's some slight side visibility there. Whether or not that'll be enough for your needs is hard to say, though - since you'll have them angled inwards so you can see what's behind you, someone perpendicular to your line on the road would likely be able to see them. To your fitment question, yes - you can attach these mirrors to pretty much any Harley-Davidson motorcycle with the included threaded fittings.
