I bought this and then bought the bracket for 1 1/4 bar. As soon as I tighten it down so it would not move, I stripped the bolt. Ended up throwing it away. $120.00 down the tubes.

Answer QuestionYes, the inside diameter of the mounting clamp's smaller hole is 5/16". Mind you, it's only suitable for adding accessories to your handlebar, it's not strong enough to support, for example, footpegs on highway bars.
