Questions & Answers

Ask Question

2006 Honda CRF250x- How hard is it to recharge the shock with nitrogen once it has been rebuilt?

You'll need a particular nitrogen refill tool, and of course - a cylinder of compressed nitrogen to do the job. As far as difficulty goes, with the correct tools, it literally takes less than a minute to fill the shock. Your best bet would be to service the shock with the parts included in the Pivot Works CRF250X shock rebuild kit and then, take the shock to a tech you trust who has the requisite tools to fill it with nitrogen. Of course, you could purchase the tools to do the filling yourself, but that's another $300 or so in equipment that gets used rather sparingly.
