Are these shocks appropriate for a 1980 Yamaha XS 650?

So long as you were to choose the 1980 XS650 from our fit guide, you'd get the proper shocks to fit your bike. They're certainly better than the stock shocks, especially if you're replacing the OEM units on that bike! Each set ships with all the required components to bolt them on. There's no need to buy any other parts.
