I haven't installed them yet. The 5 star for quality is an assumption on my part. Had to put something there.

Are these clutch disks good quality

All Vesrah clutch components are manufactured in Japan. In this way, you can be assured of top-quality clutch parts since the Japanese are not exactly known for making an inferior product!

Answer Question

My clutch is starting to slip when i get into the throttle in 3rd or 4th gear only. Do.i need to replace the steels also or would only frictions be ok

Without having the clutch here to examine, it's impossible to say what components you may need. That said, many times, you simply need to replace the friction plates and be all set. If you do a lot of racing away from stop lights, high-RPM starts, wheelie using the clutch (among other things) - chances are that the steel separator plates will need to be replaced as well. The easiest way to determine what you need is to pull the clutch apart and have a look at the steel plates. If you see a great deal of discoloration on one or more of the steel separators, then you'll certainly want to replace those as well. This is due to the fact that, as the steel plates wear down, clutch stack height cannot be maintained, and - even with the installation of new springs and friction plates, there may not be enough pressure on the entire clutch pack to get a reliable grip and you'll still experience the slippage you have now. In the instance you find that your entire clutch pack needs to be replaced, we have two good options for most machines. For road bikes, we recommend the EBC SRK Kevlar Complete Clutch Kit and for dirt bikes and other offroad machines, check out the EBC DRC Complete Clutch Kit. Both EBC clutch kits come with all the friction plates, steel separator plates and clutch springs you need for a complete clutch replacement on most machines. Best of all, the clutch stack height is pre-measured at the factory, so there's no need to plain or otherwise fiddle around with steel separator plates of a different thickness to bring the clutch up to OEM-specified measurement. Everything you need is there, ready for installation!
