When it comes to top of the line pipes, there's the Cobra Speedster, and then there's everyone else. That's because from the port to tip, Cobra stopped at nothing to create the most feature packed quality exhaust system on the market.
From it's PowerPort technology that gives you 2:1 power while maintaining the great 2:2 look, to a replaceable quiet core baffle system for real sound tunability, the Speedster exhaust line redefines standards and sets new ones.
And that's only the beginning. Because beyond all the performance and sound enhancements, you will also find a fit and finish that's unmatched in the industry. Chrome plated and machined billeted tips ensure an ultra clean fit, and then Cobra wraps them in full length custom heat shields with a triple-layer chrome finish that will never blue. When Cobra says they gave this pipe everything they have, they meant it. Literally.

Exhaust seems to be well made looks great on my bike.

Perfect sound level and tone is amazing, using Cobra's tuner also. Would totally recommend!
By Derek S. on Verified Purchaser
Awesome sounding exhaust! Only issue I had was the heat shield on the front rubbed on the brake lever. I used a block of wood and mallet to bend the heat shield back about 1/4 of an inch. No damage done but just wanted others to check theirs out also.

Looks amazing on my bike. Perfect sound.
By Stephen T. on Verified Purchaser
These are loud, really loud, I'm gonna be putting quiet baffles in it but I suspect they will still be too loud, probably gonna end up getting something else.
By Danny P. on Verified Purchaser
Exhaust is too loud put quite baffles in still too loud for me.

These are very nice pipes and look excellent on the bike and the sound of them is also excellent it sounds soo good. Don't forget to get the aftermarket jet kit your doing to need it before or after installing the new pipes because it will pop a lot, I found out when I put the pipes on first and then started it and test rode it and then installed the jet kit. I'm super satisfied with the purchase well worth the money and more. Also installation wasn't hard either just a little resistance while getting them in position to be bolted, one person job maybe 2 depends on the person. I did it all by myself. Highly recommend these pipes and other parts on this website! They Grrrrrrrreat!!!

Bolt on. Sound great. Will see what kind of longevity they have.

Was packaged professionally with care! Beautiful chrome finish on the Pipes and fantastic sound with added performance! Remember to order 2 crush gaskets for install.
By Mark B. on Verified Purchaser
Positively love the pipes. I am 62 years old and installed these Cobra Longs in less than 2 hours. The sound is fantastic. Now my bike sounds like a 1500 should. I highly recommend these.

Totally happy!

Outstanding and excellent product. Smooth installation. Better sound.
By johnny a. on Verified Purchaser
I used these pipes on my 1500 drifter (use a right passenger peg off of a Vulcan classic for the rear exhaust mount). The sound is awesome with the baffles in. It would be louder with them out but I like the deep rumble and no loss of back pressure for the EFI.

They are very nice!

This exhaust system is perfect, loud when you want them to be.
By Robert L. on Verified Purchaser
I saw a video in youtube with these pipes because I look up everything before I bought them and read lots of reviews. These cobra speedster exhaust pipes definitely live up to the hype. They are loud and look great on my bike if I could give them a 10 I would.
By Damien B. on Verified Purchaser
The pipes are awesome. They were easy to install. They sound great! Gained quite a bit of power and extended the power band overall. Will pull plugs after 50 miles or so to make sure she's not running too lean or rich but seems to be running great for now. Might not even have to re-jet. Especially since I am unable to locate a Cobra re-jet kit in the first place. Note from staff: Try Dynojet for jets kits if required.
By Trent N. on Verified Purchaser
Amazing sound, great quality. My only gripe is the hose clamps where not large enough for the tail pipe.
By Leon F. on Verified Purchaser
Easy install. Bike sounds great! Seems to have increased power. May need a re-jet. Only complaint is I believe new pipes should include new head crush gaskets. Overall, very pleased. Would recommend.

Awesome, best pipes I ever bought.

Pipes fit perfect, sound great.

Installed pipes in less than an hour. They sound incredible! Sounds like a larger bike. I also did gain some power mainly on take off.
By Milt L. on Verified Purchaser
Very happy, awesome sound, great price. Easy to install. Love Them
By Allen M. on Verified Purchaser
Love the deep sound of these cobras. Harley guys are kinda jealous of the sound of this 1500 Kawasaki. These upped my mileage 3 to 5 miles to the gallon. Easy to install, and did not have to rejet and has more throttle response. I would recommend these for the V- twins.

Great fitting exhaust, sounds great.
By Gilbert A. on Verified Purchaser
I watched the YouTube videos and they sounded great, but it doesn't compare to having them on your bike. The sounds is totally sick! I also feel safer riding down the road knowing that motorist will hear me even if they don't see me. This was money well spent, I couldn't be happier.
By Jeff M. on Verified Purchaser
These pipes look and sound better than I could of hoped for. Very easy to install. I couldn't be happier with the end result. I would give a better rating but 5 star is all the option I have.
By Fred F. on Verified Purchaser
The Cobra longshots exhaust looks awesome and sounds even better. The Cobra Fi2000r fuel pak is differently doing its job. Believe my millage even got better. Would recommend you guys to anyone needing parts. Thank you
By Kaito M. on Verified Purchaser
Two complaints. The first is the upper bolt to attach the bracket was too short. I was lucky to have a longer one on hand. Second the exhaust mounting holes needed to be aligned better . I'll retry after loosening the header bolts again. After reading up on jetting and air fuel mixture. Most opinions I found was only air fuel needed adjusting. I adjusted as best as I could, but still backfiring. Which is normal to an extent. Still may modify jetting.

This exhaust is very throaty and deep, other slashcut type designs tend to be a little more sharp. These have an amazing sound, install was easy enough to do with one person (not using a lift or stand makes it easier), you may need to jet after installing the pipes. After install, I noticed an immediate increase in power and fuel economy. Now, I have big sound, I am noticed by other drives (for ego and safety :)) and my VStar 1100 is now much more enjoyable to drive. 100% recommend!
By Anthony on Verified Purchaser
Pipes sound great. Save yourself some trouble and realize two clamps are a little larger than the others to fit around muffler body. Only complaint is that the collar used to attach pipes to engine cannot take the 14 ft. lb. torque. Each bent a small amount. So, I did not get the complete 14 lb. torque but, it does not leak exhaust.

Quality - super. I recommend them. Easy installation in honda vtx R 2008

High-quality, great looking pipes. Had an issue removing the stock baffles from the new exhaust to install Cobra Quiet Baffles before going on the bike. The baffles were jammed in so hard it took some time to remove them, but they eventually gave in. I give the exhaust 5 stars, but the installed baffle less. The new Cobra Quiet Baffles went in without a problem.
By None on
These were precisely what I had been looking for in an exhaust. They fit great, sound awesome, and the cost was spot on...nice value. They were easy to install, all hardware fit just perfect and they look great.
By VU705 on
Was a little apprehensive at first but, they are the best sounding pipes I ever purchased. The sound and power are better than I was expecting. Would recommend to anyone. Hit it right the first time.

Looking at these for my 03 vtx 1800r. Can I use OEM gaskets or do these pipes need different ones (thicker/thinner)?
Answer QuestionOEM exhaust gaskets for the 2003 Honda VTX1800R will work just fine, if they're in good shape. In fact, the same can be said for every exhaust system we sell - they all work wit the stock gaskets. Now, if you pull the headers off only to find those gaskets are cracked, you'll want to replace those. If you're unsure of their condition, you might as well add a set of K&L Exhaust Pipe Gasket to your order just to be sure you've got everything you need to get the job done in one go!

My 07 has 51000 miles, I've never changed the pipes. The existing pipes are Bubs.
Answer QuestionYes, these pipes are offered for that 2007 VTX1300R. Usually, you can reuse the existing gaskets if they are not damaged during removal of the current pipes. Otherwise, you would need to purchase them separately if needed.
By Joe S.
Answer QuestionYes, there would be baffles included with this system.
By Chris
Answer QuestionYes, this system would have bungs for the OEM O2 sensors to be installed into for that 2010 Yamaha Road Star 1700 Silverado.
By Anon.
Answer QuestionYes, when you go to choose a year/make/model, you will find that you can select that 2003 Honda VTX1800S.
By Anon.
Can the baffles be removed, and if so, will the bike run ok? No loss torque/power? For a Yamaha 1700 Road Star
Answer QuestionIt is not recommended to remove the baffles. It could cause poor running issues.
By Larry
Answer QuestionI would suggest the Dynojet Carburetor Jet Kit for that bike with those pipes. With that jet kit installed along with the pipes, you should have a great running bike.
By lou
Answer QuestionThere are no gaskets included with any exhaust system we sell. In most cases, the OEM gaskets can be re-used without issue. Of course, if your bike has a lot of miles on it or is more on the vintage side of the calendar, you may want to add a set of exhaust gaskets to your order. In this way, you can be assured of a leak-free fit with your new pipes.
By Daddeej260
Answer QuestionSo long as you have the stock exhaust on your machine, you have everything you need for fitting this exhaust, or any other pipes that well, to your C109R. Basically, every exhaust comes with all required mounting hardware, but that's based upon the assumption that you still have the OEM exhaust on your bike. That holds true across all brands and for all machines.

Answer QuestionFor any Cobra exhaust, we can't say enough good things about the Cobra Fi2000R fuel tuner. It's easy to install and comes with simple instructions that explain exactly how to configure the device to provide proper fuel delivery for your new exhaust. There are only three adjustment knobs on the device itself, which makes tuning a snap. And, there's no need to visit a dyno, which saves you significant time and expense.

I have a 2007 v-star 1300 (not the 1300A). Will these pipes fit my bike?
Answer QuestionIf you were to choose the 2007 Yamaha XVS1300A V-Star 1300 exhaust system from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct components to fit the '07 V-Star 1300. The 1300A designation is simply Yamaha's model code for that particular machine.
By Mike
Answer QuestionHell yeah, they will! Go on, pull wheelies and influence people!
By Mahesh c
Answer QuestionThe Fi2000R is actually best designed to work with full exhaust systems, not slip-ons so much The reason being is, in many cases, even with fuel delivery set to minimums, the device still delivers too much fuel for the slip-on exhaust - hence the sputtering. Once you install the full exhaust system and tune it properly, you'll surely find the bike runs a lot better at all power settings, including at a steady speed.
By Jim B.
Answer QuestionCobra's Speedster Long Exhaust System will not fit the 1999 FXDWG, but they do offer two similar exhausts. One, comes in the form of the FXDWG Cobra Speedster Slashdown Exhaust System and the other is a Dyna Cobra Dragster Exhaust System.
By Warren H
Answer QuestionGenerally speaking, no - you don't have to add a fuel tuning device to fit this exhaust on your machine. That said, if you want to get the best possible engine performance and throttle response out of this exhaust, you'll most certainly want to adjust fueling to suit. You'll notice that, after the installation of an aftermarket exhaust - such as the Cobra exhaust we have here, your bike may not idle the same, or may stutter a bit when you grab a handful of throttle getting away from traffic lights. Whenever you change the way air gets into or out of the motor, you should definitely adjust fueling to suit. To mitigate these fueling problems, Cobra recommends the Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner Fuel Controller to go along with any of their exhausts that fit fuel-injected motorcycles. With that kit installed on your bike, you can expect to avoid the problems noted above - and without requiring a trip to the dyno since the Fi2000 adjust fueling 80 times a second for the best possible throttle response and engine output. It's actually a pretty clever system that does everything for you, just install it on your bike following the easy-to-understand instructions and you're ready to go!
By Anon.
Answer QuestionWhile you can probably get away with installing this exhaust by itself, to get the best possible throttle response and engine performance, it's always best to get some sort of fueling modification device in the form of either, a jet kit or a fuel controller. Basically, any time you change the way air gets into or out of, the motor, you'll want to adjust fueling appropriately to maximize any performance gains available from the new setup.
