Re Bassani Road Rage II B4
By Vance D.
Hi, I'm on the hunt for a good quality 2 into 1 Exhaust from a company in the USA. Some of my friends on the Harley forum have recommended Bassani pipes. My current exhaust is a D&D Fat Cat that I've had on my bike for about 10 years. Over the years it's gotten a bit dinged up. So here I am looking for a replacement that equals or exceeds the Fat Cat. Do you also provide a black Chrome or a Stainless Steel set? BTW, I'm a repeat customer here at PG because you provide good customer service. My Bike is a 2009 FLHTCU with an S&S 106 Hot set and High flow breather. Thanks Vance Dyer
Answer QuestionThe Bassani brand has proven to be a really good company for us. Every pipe we've sold that comes from them has been of solid quality. How it compares to the Fat Cat, I can't say for sure since we haven't seen one of these exhausts in a long, LONG time. No less, compared to any pipe, really, you'll probably get along well with the Road Rage system. Of note, I'd guess your bike is already tuned to work with your current D&D / S&S setup, so fuel metering would be pretty close to work with these pipes. Still, if you want the best possible throttle response and engine performance, we recommend you have your bike's fuel delivery adjusted by a competent tuner or add something with an auto-tune function like the Vance & Hines FP4, just to be sure you get every bit of power available from this new exhaust.
