Everyone loves the clean look of a true-dual system, but the truth is, those systems don't always deliver when it comes to performance. Because of the Cobra PowerPort crossover this system performs like a true 2-into-1 pipe with the clean look of a traditional dual system. The PowerPort Dual head pipes fatten the low end and mid-range torque curve, perfect for touring and highway use. Includes oxygen sensor bungs.

After much research into many different brands I settled on these! Super easy install and great fit! The pipes themselves were super clean and had a nice polish. The heatsheilds were flawless! Look great! Got rid of the heat in the stock pipes! I paired with the Neighbor Haters Gen 2 and also installed the Fi2000 Power Pro Black! The tuner worked awesome as advertised! All this on my 2014 Ultra Limited!

Once I was able to get the stock headers off, the install was pretty easy and straight forward. I definitely recommend reading all of the instructions before you begin and follow them completely. I skipped a few steps on the removal of stock and missed a few things. The fit and finish on these Cobras is great. I already had the Cobra 909s on my bike. The headers did not really change the sound at idle but definitely changed it in the throttle. I was finally able to get a reliable tune on my FP3 so now she is running more efficiently and putting more power to the rear wheel. I love Cobra products and have been using them on all my bikes since the 90s.

This is the best header pipe, in my humble opinion. My bike has a significant increase in Horse power and torque. Ordered from Parts Giant and received the best price and customer service, ships fast, received in less than 3 days.

Two-into-two exhaust systems, like the Cobra True Dual headers in question - don't have a crossover pipe that connects the two headers somewhere along the way. Conversely, many dual exhausts are really a two-into-one-into-two system or have some sort of intermingling of exhaust gases from either cylinder before they exit to the atmosphere. Why you'd choose one over the other depends on what you're after. For sound, true duals (two-into-two) are supposedly the best way to go. For performance, the added scavenging effect of crossover pipes is advantageous since each exhaust gas column is pulled one after the other, by the exhaust gas column from the opposite cylinder. Both types of exhausts do use two mufflers and otherwise look mostly the same unless you really take a closer look and know what to look for. And the can certainly be paired with 909 mufflers.

Yes, that's correct. The crossover pipe goes under the bike just in front of the rear wheel.

Unless you have done another performance modification to your bike at the same time as replacing the headers, you shouldn't need to worry about tuning your bike.

These headers only fit the 2009-2016 Touring models. Cobra offers the True Dual head pipes for a 1997 Harley Davidson FLHT Electra Glide Standard. You can find them by searching "Cobra True Duals Header Pipes" in our store search bar.

These Cobra headpipes are a straight through design devoid of any catalytic converters.
By Cummins D
These particular head pipes only have 12mm O2 sensor bungs in them as all HD touring models after 2009 use 12mm sensors stock. If you have an aftermarket wide band 18mm O2 sensor or tuner you would need to purchase the Cobra Power Port Dual Bung Head Pipes instead which have both an 18mm and 12mm bung for 18mm wide band O2 sensors to be used.

Cobra's Power Port headers are designed to work with any slip-ons that fit the OEM headers. So long as the mufflers on your machine fit the stock headers, you should have no problem bolting fitting them to these headers as well.
By Chris
If you were to choose the 2016 Harley Davidson FLHXS Street Glide Special Cobra headers from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct headers to fit your machine. Best of all, these headers work with just about any slip-on muffler that fits the stock headers, so you've got quite the variety of mufflers to choose from!
By Cagmo
That's correct - Cobra devised a header kit specifically for the 2016 Tri Glide. No adapters are required. Basically, it's the same as other Touring model headers, only it has the requisite muffler adapters as part of the design, but without the clamps &etc.. Sure, it adds an extra part number to the catalog, but what it really does is make for the cleanest possible installation of a Cobra exhaust system on the Tri Glide.

Yes, these - and all of Cobra's headers come with a provision for attaching the OEM oxygen sensor(s) on machines equipped with such at the factory. Simply unplug the stock O2 sensors, unscrew from the header and then place it in the new pipe. Once you've got it all mounted up, plug it back in and you're all set.

Do the heat sheilds and crossover pipe come with tha headers?
That's correct, Cobra Power Port True Dual Headers come with heat shields and there is a crossover pipe engineered into the headers. In this way, you can be assured 2-into-1 performance, with the looks and sound of a true dual Harley-Davidson exhaust system.
