Pipes fit perfectly and easy to install. Sounds great.

I am of little mechanical mind and ability. The instructions were more vague than they should be but I was able to get the pipes on by myself within a couple of hours. Experienced mechanic this is a no big deal exercise. The pipes sounded great the first week, I took the bike on a long ride over the weekend, the same muffle has a little twinge to it now. Going to check it out this weekend. I do love the sound the pipes were making the first time through. Not obnoxious, doing what they were supposed to do. Alerting others that I was in the lane so be aware. I do notice that there is a bubble now around me as cars are aware of me when I ride. I also love the look, the two pipe to one pipe looks so not like a hard rider. Love not sounding like a moped...for those of us that can't afford a harley it gives us the sound to trick us and make us forget of our limited financial means.

They arrived very quickly, and were easy to install. Bike sounds great now and I have more confidence in knowing I'll be heard when riding.

Bought these for my 2006 Honda shadow areo. They look great and sound awesome with the baffles out. Might need to jet to do backfiring on deceleration but its a minor thing.

The pipes went in without any problems. The bike looks and sounds much better.

Answer QuestionYes, and yes - you'll find that the Lo-Bow Shotgun exhaust for the Shadow ACE is significantly louder than the stock exhaust system. And of course, if you were to remove the baffles, the bike would become even louder. If you like loud, these pipes will do the job!

Answer QuestionCobra does not currently offer a set of these pipes that are compatible with the 2001 Honda VT750DC Shadow 750 Spirit.
By Daniel
Answer QuestionYes, if you were to choose the 2003 Honda VT750CD Shadow 750 A.C.E. Cobra Lo-Boy Shotgun exhaust from our fit guide that's immediately to the right of the image on our website, you'd receive the proper exhaust to fit that machine.

Answer QuestionThe pipes are top be stacked, one on top of the other, closely, as is shown in the photograph you see when you select your bike from our fit guide. The look is to be that of an over-under shotgun. If you want the pipes close together, this is your exhaust!

I put cobra lowboy exhaust pipes on bike,I need to know what jets to use,my carbs are stock, and plugs are burning snow white,
Answer QuestionIn the case of 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic, your best bet would be to order a Cobra Carburetor Jet Kit as it will come with everything you need to properly tune your bike to work with the new exhaust. Cobra's jet kits are developed in tandem with their exhausts so as to provide the best possible throttle response and engine power. And, the included instructions explain exactly what jets to use for a starting point and also provides clear guidance as to what adjustments need to be made based upon how your bike runs after you modify the carb. Since your machine's fueling was completely stock and you've got white plugs, that bike is running really lean on fuel delivery. The carb kit on offer should take care of everything.

Answer QuestionUnfortunately, Cobra does not produce a Lo-Boy Shotgun exhaust to fit the 2006 M50. The closest thing we have to fit that bike would be the Streetrod Full Exhaust System. It's essentially the same exhaust, only the end caps terminate near the rear axle as opposed to further back as is on the Lo-Boy system
By Shamus
Answer QuestionYes, this Cobra exhaust system will indeed fit the 2001 Honda Shadow ACE Deluxe.

Answer QuestionCobra makes jet kits that are perfectly matched to most of their Cobra exhaust systems. Simply search our store for "Cobra Carburetor Jet Kit" and you'll get a kit that includes everything you need to set up your bike to run great with a Cobra exhaust.

Answer QuestionUnless otherwise noted, Cobra Exhaust systems are designed to work with the stock foot controls. This is due to the fact that Cobra only tests their exhausts on machines of the stock configuration. In many cases, the Cobra exhaust will indeed work with aftermarket foot controls, but to be absolutely sure, simply contact us with your bike's make, year and model along with what type of footpegs or floorboards you have and we'll be happy to help you determine which aftermarket motorcycle exhaust is right for your needs.
