I have it four stars because I haven't gotten to the programming part of it, just what my dealer did on the dyno, which was a 5hp gain with Vance and Hines added. Don't get me wrong 5hp is definitely noticeable, but I feel there's more she can put out.

Answer QuestionYes, you can change the tune as you change out different performance related parts with this fuel controller.

Answer QuestionThis unit would piggy back the harness going to the injectors, not connect directly to the ECM.
By Mark
Answer QuestionIf you're referring to the wire harness, no, these are not generic. They come with automotive-quality connectors that plug straight into the OEM wire harness. Each unit comes pre-programmed with a stock map (no modification) and a map for slip-on applications. While the latter is suitable for most slip-on mufflers made for the Hammer, it never hurts to take your bike to a competent tuner in order to get the best possible engine performance and throttle response.

I've purchased a used 2006 victory kinpin 5 speed it has aftermarket exhaust an is running rich even after all air leaks are repaired. Leads me to believe I need remapping.
Answer QuestionYes, if you were to select the 2006 Victory Kingpin Power Commander V from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct parts to fit your machine. In your particular situation, this unit - when properly programmed, would certainly help get your bike running correctly!

ALSO COULD USE THE AT-300 AUTO TUNER
Answer QuestionWe do have that unit listed in our store, simply select your model year from the drop down and we can get it on its way to you. That part number will fit 2009-2012 Can-Am Outlander 500 models. You can find the corresponding AT-300 Autotune kit by searching "Dynojet Power Commander V Autotune Kit with Dual O2 Sensors" in our store search bar.

Answer QuestionWe no longer have a Power Commander V to fit the 2007 Suzuki GSX-R750. It uses it own SKU for the 750 models from 2006-2010 Power Commander number 20-006. I would suggest checking with Dynojet directly as our suppliers no longer carry this part number.

Answer QuestionAs far as hardware is concerned, there are no other parts required to install a good exhaust and the Power Commander on your machine. Though, you will want to take your bike to a good dyno tuner in order to have the Power Commander properly mapped for your bike's exact fuel delivery requirements. Other than that, with the exhaust and the PC-V, you've got everything you need.

to install the new power commander V do I need to purchase after market exhaust for the 2013 yamaha raider dcl?
Answer QuestionThere's no need to change the Yamaha Raider exhaust system when installing a PC-V. The big thing is to be sure you have a competent dyno operator build a map for your machine so as to get the biggest possible power advantage. In the future, should you decide to add an exhaust to go with the PC-V for the Yamaha Raider, the Power Commander is more than ready for the task.
By Bill
Answer QuestionThe PC-V ships with two maps: one is completely stock (no fuel modifications) and one is programmed for a slip-on exhaust. Depending on your machine, that may be enough for your needs. However, if you want to get the biggest possible power gains and the best throttle response, we highly recommend that you visit a competent dyno tuner in your area to have a custom map built for your machine's specific needs. The only way to get the most out of this unit is via a good dyno tune.

Answer QuestionAll Power Commander products, including the PC-V, are not married to the ECU. They work by modifying the fuel signal in real time as you ride the bike. They don't alter the ECU's memory at all, but rather, manipulate its output based upon the maps programmed into the PC-V. If you were to remove it from your machine, it goes back to the stock signal since it's no longer able to act as a middleman in modifying fuel delivery. So, while you can use it on multiple bikes (so long as they're the same make, model and year), it won't adjust fuel input unless it's physically installed on that one machine.
By Dollar bill
Answer QuestionSince the Power Commander V basically ignores the incoming signals from the oxygen sensor, you won't have any problem using it on your machine with, or without the oxygen sensor installed. There's no need to purchase additional parts in order to have it fit your machine's current configuration.
