Great sounding exhaust.

When it comes to top of the line pipes, there's the Cobra Speedster, and then there's everyone else. That's because from the port to tip, Cobra stopped at nothing to create the most feature packed quality exhaust system on the market.
From it's PowerPort technology that gives you 2:1 power while maintaining the great 2:2 look, to a replaceable quiet core baffle system for real sound tunability, the Speedster exhaust line redefines standards and sets new ones.
And that's only the beginning. Because beyond all the performance and sound enhancements, you will also find a fit and finish that's unmatched in the industry. Chrome plated and machined billeted tips ensure an ultra clean fit, and then Cobra wraps them in full length custom heat shields with a triple-layer chrome finish that will never blue. When Cobra says they gave this pipe everything they have, they meant it. Literally.

Great sounding exhaust.

Look amazing and shipped quick but no instructions?! Would have left 5 stars if I had some instructions or even a link with something. I will update my review if I get some instructions to install.

I originally had Vance and Hines slip-ons on my stock pipes before ordering these Cobra's full systems. Installing the new pipes themselves was a simple, however the shields were a different story. They were a pain in the ass to get on. I'd heard about the sound of the Cobra's which is why I went with them. Overall, the Cobra's do provide a noticeable difference in power. The sound however, if you're looking for loud, is not there. The V&H's slip-on's provided greater sound. Over all I'm pleased with this pipes, but thinking of removing the baffles. The con to that however will be power loss. It appears you can't have both you have to decide on one or the other.

But they are very loud on a trip.I bought these because I can get at the rear axle nut without taking off the exhaust to service/adj drive belt or change the tire or whatever. With stock exhaust or perhaps longer pipes you can't get at and torque the rear axle nut so these pipes work great but man they are loud. I tried the quiet baffles, not much diff and if you want the great sound, well, what can I say-now I ride wearing ear plugs-really, I do.

Answer QuestionIf your bike has a completely stock tune on it, then yes - you'll certainly want to upgrade fuel delivery in order to get the most out of the new Speedster exhaust pipes for your V-Star 1100. To do that, we recommend the Cobra Jet Kit as it's specifically engineered to work with Cobra's exhaust systems. The included instructions will explain exactly how to install and configure the jets to work with the exhaust. So long as you have simple hand tools, you'll have everything you need to get the job done.

Answer QuestionYes, if you were to choose the 2007 Harley-Davidson FXDL Dyna Low Rider Speedster Shorts exhaust from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct exhaust to fit your machine.
By Paul
Answer QuestionYes, all required hardware is included with this exhaust to install it on any machine you select from our fit guide, including the 2006 FXDLI Dyna Low Rider. You will, however, need to re-use some of the OEM bolts and brackets in order to complete the installation. So, if you have the original exhaust on your machine, you won't have any problems fitting this to your bike. And of course, there are provisions for fitting the OEM oxygen sensors as well, they plug straight into the pipes near their original locations in the stock exhaust.

Answer QuestionCompared to the stock pipes, yes - these are going to be quite a bit louder. Of course, whether or not that'll be loud enough for your taste is difficult to say. And, once you put them on, if they're still not loud enough, you can certainly remove the baffles in each muffler to turn up the volume a bit more! Regarding you second question, anytime you change the way air gets into, or out of, the engine - it's best to adjust fuel delivery to suit. In this way, you can be sure of the best possible engine performance and throttle response. To get your motor running right, we can't say enough good things about the Cobra Fi2000R. It's simple to install and configure - plus, because it comes from Cobra, the included installation instructions explain exactly how to set up the device to work with any Cobra exhaust. As there are only three knobs to adjust, it's really a straight-forward operation to get the most out of the new exhaust. Plus, you won't have to visit a tuner to get it done, Cobra has done all the work for you as shown in those instructions!

Holes for o2 sensors? And does it come with mounting hardware?
Answer QuestionYes, this Fat Bob exhaust comes with all required mounting hardware, including the mounting bracket you're referring to. There are also provisions for installing the OEM oxygen sensor as that's an important component for the FXDF ECU to deliver the proper fueling.
