This and the electrosport rectifier got my 2007 GSXR back running and putting out correct voltage output. Has only been a few weeks but working great so far. It does seem a little pricey but this is the first set that has actually produced the proper power so it might be worth it to not be stranded on the side of the road.
By Elsie on Verified Purchaser
This stator is epic. Had it on now for about a week, and I haven't experienced any issues. Fit on the bike like the oem stator too, which made it simple to install. 10/10 so far.

Exact replacement for the 1986 kx250 resto project!
By Eric L. on Verified Purchaser
Part fit like it should. Transferring the grommets on the case was required but I was kinda expecting that. Fired up the the bike and everything works flawless. Definitely recommend this product.
By Chris S. on Verified Purchaser
It was easy to work with, plug and play.
By Fizzy on Verified Purchaser
Definitely a great product. My '98 gsxr 600 srad runs flawless with this stator. Definitely recommend this over the cheaper ones.
By Matias R. on Verified Purchaser
The stator got my bike up and running with no issues and was a great price
By Michael G. on Verified Purchaser
I was impressed with the quality of the stator. My only complaint is that the grommet was not in the correct place and I had to manhandle the grommet to its correct position. Haven't done much riding since the install, but so far so good.

I bought a bike that had a recent stator replacement. Unfortunately, the Rectifier was Fried! After replacing that, the bike still wasn't charging. I replaced the nearly new stator with the Electrosport Stator, and all is working perfectly! Great quality, easy to install, and works perfectly.

I've been very happy with this stator it charges 13.5V works great. Its been great to me I'm so glad I bought this. Fixed all the charging problems I've had with the V-Star since I've had it. I just wanted to put another review on here because the first one I didn't pick the Stars right I would definitely buy this product again.

Received the product with in a couple days and it fit like a glove. I have had no issues with this product since. Thank you
By Nicholas H. on Verified Purchaser
High quality, perfect fit and my 1984 Honda shadow is stronger than ever...when you buy products for your electrical, IMO you want the best, and this is 5 stars from me and it even came with a 1 year warranty...highly recommend (paired with Rick's Motorsports Voltage regulator rectifier and the quality was top shelf on both items)!
By Roscoe W P. on Verified Purchaser
Have not used part yet. Did not come with gasket nor regulator. Maybe gain knowledge of required parts for all orders...? Many bolts need washers. Water pumps require gaskets. Bulbs, electric plugs can use electrical grease etc. New regulator, required gasket matching stator would of been Grand.

Wire is too long, it rubbed against gear and messed it up. 2006 Suzuki GSX-R750
By Charles S. on Verified Purchaser
This is a well made part. It was the first part I have bought online that actually was a direct fit that needed no modifications to work. It plugged in and fixed all my charging issues.
By frank r. on Verified Purchaser
Excellent product. Works as expected. And it cost less than any other that I found.
By Willie B. on Verified Purchaser
The stator arrived quickly and seems to be working well.
By Matt L. on Verified Purchaser
Other than having to exchange the connector it works great.
By Rocco P. on Verified Purchaser
This part fit great and works great. I had to change one of the connectors, but that was just a minor inconvenience.
By Alex H. on Verified Purchaser
Fits as described.
By Randy W. on Verified Purchaser
Very happy with this stator putting out way more power than the original one and I can put any accessories on here I want. Now I might be Star 650 charging 13.6. Very happy with this part.
By Casey S. on Verified Purchaser
Starts and runs great! I drove about 200 miles on the road and in the desert with a dozen on/off cycles. Starts with no issue. A tip for others: The length of the wire harness inside the stator cover was a tight fit. From internet forums, I carefully cut the metal tie wrap on the cable to get a little more length for the wire grommet to better fit in the metal housing. Make sure both cables are below the magneto rotor assembly. The eight bolt to remove the side cover is behind the starter clutch cover (also remove these 3 bolts; remove the gear assembly). Notice, there are bushings and washers at each end of the starter clutch shaft. Don't lose them.
By Jim K. on Verified Purchaser
Smaller gauge wire than original, fit right in, bolted right up except for pickup coil, head to drill out, holes were a little too small. Works perfect, would buy again.

Excellent For Yamaha R6 2009, highly recommended!

I was intially hesitant to buy my stator from electrosport. The price was so low compared to oem that I honestly figured the part would be junk. I really didn't have the money for the high dollar one, so I threw caution to the wind and bought one from electrosport. Man am I glad I did. The stator looked like it was quality out of the box, and after initial faulty testing procedures on my part the stator works perfect. Only time will tell if it will last, but I'm betting it will so much so that I already ordered a voltage regulator from as well.
By Trey L. on Verified Purchaser
Good stator but the wire grommet was too far up so I needed to pull it down in order to fit.
By Paul C. on Verified Purchaser
Length of the wire harness inside the stator cover was too long. I had the reposition the rubber grommet on the wire loom to get some of the wiring out of this area. But it worked as should when installed and started. Long term? I don't know because I just installed it and haven't put any miles on it yet.
By Brandon J. on Verified Purchaser
Overall the product received seemed like it was quality built. Picture doesn't show exactly what I got but similar. Installed it into my motorcycle and works as it should. Overall pretty good product and service.

By Vahe K. on Verified Purchaser
Very good quality and fast shipping.

This stator is putting out around 25V AC at idle and around 80V at 4000 RPMs. This was on my 1997 1100cc Honda Shadow, it was a perfect fit. Highly recommend.

Is this stator OE standard?
Answer QuestionIf you were to choose the Yamaha YZF-R6 stator from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct parts to fit your machine. It is built to meet OEM standards but run cooler than stock. It plugs straight into the OEM wire harness. Mind you, if you're having trouble with your bike's charging system, be sure to examine the regulator/rectifier (R/R) for proper function as well. When the stator starts to fail, the R/R has to work harder in order to maintain proper voltage which can often lead to failure. If you find that part is out of specification, we have those available on our Electrosport Regulator/Rectifier webpage.

Answer QuestionYes, if you were to choose the 1978 Suzuki GS550 stator from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct components to fit your machine. It's an exact replica of Suzuki OEM stator 31401-45011.

Answer QuestionYes, as long as you choose that 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250 when adding to your cart, you should have no problems.

Answer QuestionElectrosport CX500 replacement stators are designed to operate in the same fashion as the OEM stator on any machine you select from our fit guide. So long as the parts on your machine are compatible with the stock stator, you should have no problem fitting this stator.
By Stylz
Won't hold charge had many people tell me it's the rectifier and stator but then they said it's just the stator can you help out
Answer QuestionWithout having the machine here to examine, it's impossible to say whether or not it's the stator, the regulator/rectifier, both of those items or some other electrical component that's causing your problems. Though, as a general rule, if you're replacing the stator, you might as well service/replace the regulator/rectifier as well. The reason being, that, when the stator goes bad, the rectifier on the charging system has to work particularly hard to make up for that lost voltage at lower engine speeds. And, even after a short time, this can take a toll on the regulator/rectifier as eventually, it literally fries internally. By replacing both parts, you can be assured of a reliable charging system from the off, without the worry of one of those parts failing quickly afterwards.

I am buying a new harness and would like to know they will match before i buy either part
Answer QuestionYes, Electrosport's stator that fits the 1998 Kawasaki ZX-6R is designed to plug straight into the OEM wire harness. There's no need to solder, cut or splice any connections in order to fit it to your machine. Just remove the OEM ZX-6R stator and install this one in its place.

Answer QuestionYes, if you were to choose the 1996 Suzuki VS1400GLP Intruder 1400 from our fit guide, you'd get the correct stator to fit your machine.
By Greg
Answer QuestionElectrosport's stators are designed to work with the OEM charging system. You won't need to make any other electrical changes to your bike in order to use this particular stator. Basically, the stator produces greater power at lower RPMs, so in reality, the rectifier function of the bike's charging system doesn't have to work as hard when the bike is running at lower RPMs. So long as the regulator is in good working order, you won't have any problems with it.

02 vstar 1100 custom
Answer QuestionYes, the V-Star 1100 replacement stator from Electrosport does include the pickup coil you see in the photograph. It's included to simplify installation since the wire attached to it is an integral part of the wire harness that passes through the grommet. When you select your bike from our fit guide, what you see photographed is what you'll get.

THE BIKE WAS OVERFILLED BY NEARLY A HALF GALLON, FOR NO TELLING HOW LONG. IM WONDERING IF TOO MUCH OIL, KILLED THE STATOR. ITS NOT HOLDING A CHARGE EITHER, ANOTHER SYPTOM THAT POINTED ME TO THE STATOR.
Answer QuestionWhile it's rare, it's certainly possible that excess oil would cause the stator to fail. Even more so with air-cooled motors since loads of hot oil could heat up the stator well beyond normal operating temperature. After an extended amount of time submerged in that hot oil, it may certainly fail. Of course, the only way to be sure of this would be to test the stator as described in your machine's service manual. In the event you don't have a service manual, check out our selection of Clymer Shop Manuals or Haynes Repair Manuals as both publications detail step-by-step instructions for examining the condition of your machine's electrical system.
By Anon.
Answer QuestionYes, motorcycle and ATVs stators are lubricated by the same oil that washes the crank, is sprayed under the piston &etc. in most modern motorcycles and ATVs. If your machine's lubrication system is working correctly, you will find the stator components to have, at the very least, a coat of oil on them when you pull them off your bike or ATV.
By Daniel
Answer QuestionElectrosport stators do not include a stator cover gasket. If you're careful when removing the cover, you can often re-use the OEM stator cover gasket without issue. Otherwise, we do have a wide variety of Rick's Stator Cover Gaskets available in our website to go along with the purchase of your new stator.

Answer QuestionThe stator you have received is indeed correct for the Yamaha YFM350X Warrior. The factory harness had a redundant ground that has been simplified into one wire on this new stator. It will function the same as the stock unit.
