S&S 640 Camshaft

This 640 is for Evolution Big Twin models with large displacement motors with compression ratios of 10.5 - 11.5:1 or smaller motors with 11:1 - 12:1 compression ratio. The nice part is that this cam does not require as much compression as the 631.

What other upgrades are needed to run this cam

Other than adjusting fuel delivery, there isn't much to adding this cam to any of the bikes listed in our fit guide. The only exception being if you're running hydraulic lifters, then you'll need to carefully look after valve spring spacing. Now, why anyone would not do that anyway, is beyond me - you're already in there so you might as well take care of those kinds of critical measurements to be sure your engine is in good nick.
