Is this seat comfortable for long rides?
By Paul
The seat looks very thin, what kind of foam does it use?
Answer QuestionMustang's touring seats are designed to be more comfortable than stock, especially for longer rides. With regard to the seat's thickness, that actually isn't the most critical aspect of a seat's design, in terms of comfort at least. It's the foam itself and the way it's shaped that really makes the difference. Mustang uses a particular formula that's designed to be supportive for longer rides. You'll notice that the seat will be firm, but still pliable the first time you get on the bike. The closed-cell foam insert is shaped specifically for the bike you select and, once you put a few miles on it - will shape itself to fit your own particular shape as well. Best of all, the foam is formulated to retain its shape for as long as you own the bike. In this way, you can expect long-lasting durability and the comfort that comes with it.
